Just remembered this from back in my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! days. I hope you’re sitting down.
I also hope you’re grateful because I remembered this completely randomly, it took a lot of hunting to find it and more again to locate the images and it’s
goddam good

Sneaky 300ZX wheels
Look at that roof lining!
Maybe it’s a bit much, but it’s SO well done. When you’ve got these sorts of skills, I guess you’re entitled to your own taste. Also it’s for the dude’s wife
This is an “in progress” photo

Including the T tops is really what brings it all home.

This is really good but how could they keep those rims?

That’s impressive and definitely different

I really wanted to dislike it, but honestly, I kind of like it.

Finally a use for Z32 autotragics. It’s like Project Binky, and we all love that, so how can I hate it. I don’t know if i really like the interior, I’ve spent too much time in Z32's so that’s probably just a me problem. It just looks ordinary on a car that otherwise drips in creativity. Don’t get me wrong the interior certainly is busy and body matched, but it just looks like a custom 300ZX you used to see at car shows.
It’s like the guy that did this to a Beetle using a 986 Boxster. He muscled the Boxster’s interior into the car and it just did not work. It looked too modern, but not modern enough. If that makes any sense.

Can’t be registered either so this is the best thing that ever could’ve happened to it.
I get it. Still love it. That interior works damn well, better than any ‘49 Merc in the world ;)

effort

They were placeholders, saving a bit of cash while they did the important stuff like tackling registration and emissions and whatnot. I personally think it’s damn cool, like that Jag XJ220 van with the XJ220 wheels. Even if they don’t fit the style.

It’s done so WELL!

Thats good, I’m just jaded from seeing too many cars with finished body kits and stock rims.

I think that interior could have worked if he had gone with a classic wood rimmed, metal spoke steering wheel. 90s airbag wheels done exactly scream style.
